Global business practice recognises the widespread benefits of a more concerted approach to achieving balance between organisational objectives and important social and cultural responsibilities.

Nominations are sought from companies which operate in the Northern Outback and are active corporate citizens, and must demonstrate excellence in their community engagement initiatives.

Companies will be assessed by their contribution to community and their overall reputation as a good corporate citizen which may include:
  • Leadership, and commitment to community building
  • A commitment to corporate philanthropy and other forms of community support and investment, including but not limited to volunteerism, gifts-in-kind, donation of products and services.
  • The active engagement of the leadership of the company in promoting and encouraging a culture of giving and volunteering among employees.
  • The innovative contribution of the company to the community through partnership with community organisations to address social challenges.

Clearly stated policies and practices to ensure the ethical and responsible conduct of the business including the health and safety of individuals, communities and the environment.

Businesses and Individuals may nominate in more than one category.
